Episode 7h--Feminine Health: Breast Feeding and Bonding

Hello dear sisters. I am Rabia your host. Breast milk is the best food for the baby. Breastfeeding prevents many diseases. Some of these diseases show up during infancy while others arise later in life. What are these diseases? They are as follows: Bloating, obesity, diabetes, and the baby's sudden death while sleeping. Breastfeeding is also useful for mothers. It helps mothers not to get diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, female cancers and other diseases.  Our religion also says that the mother needs to breastfeed her baby for two years. In the United States, physicians say that babies need to get their mother's milk at least for a year. In some cases, the mother cannot feed the baby due to health issues and depression. She needs to talk to a specialist, and the specialist will help her resolve the issue.  Then the mother can breastfeed her baby.

A mother needs to get enough liquids, eat good food, and take care of her health while breastfeeding the baby. If a baby gets used to getting bottled milk, then the baby will not get the mother's breast.  How would we know the milk is enough for the baby? We need to monitor the baby, noting how many times it urinates and how often diapers have to be changed. A baby is healthy when it has the right weight and sleeps well. The mother needs to take the baby to the pediatric doctor on a regular basis. Mothers can also use breast pumps.  They can put their milk in a bottle and then feed the baby later.

Every mother loves her baby. This love has to increase after the delivery.  Skin-to-skin contact between mother and baby is very important. The baby has to be kept close to the mother's breast so that the baby feels that she is his/her mother and she protects him/her from everything. How can a mother make this contact? A mother should not leave a baby crying. She should hold the baby and make the baby relax. A baby will calm down if he/she knows that the mother gives them love.  A mother needs to hold the baby several times a day and keep it close to her chest. For all mothers, it is important that they put away their smartphones and pay attention to their babies.  As the baby grows, the mother has to read books for her/him and take them for a walk. It is good for the health of mother and child.
